The first Health Research Forum in the Extractive Industry will take place on November 17, 2021, between 8 am and 1 pm. The event will take place in a hybrid format, and will be attended by representatives of the Government, cooperation agencies, extractive industries, civil society organizations, and national and international research and/or academic partner institutions.
The Forum is organized within the scope of the research project entitled “Health Impact Assessment for the Engagement of Natural Resource Extraction Projects in the Sustainable Development Goals (HIA4SD)”, implemented by theManhiça Health Research Center (CISM)would look like theSwiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH).The event will discuss the research findings, their implications, and how they can contribute to improvements in public health in communities where extractive projects are located.
